Oh the things I've missed living in the big city for so long. The lullaby symphony of crickets and frogs accompanied by the occasional passing car. The ability to see the brilliance of the starry hosts too numerous to count. The sweet simplicity that is life. What I've missed are things my children are just beginning to experience. Drew isn't as fond of quiet as I am. And he isn't as refreshed by the simplicity as I am. He says we live in "the pasture".

And it's here I found I can really live. Not a place. Not a structure. A way of life. A place of refreshing and rest. A place to begin...and end. For some, home is where the heart is, but for me, home is where my hope is. And I'll follow my Shepherd no matter to what pasture He leads. For now, I'll live in "the pasture" and be content.
This place is definitely a change from the bright lights of Birmingham or Mobile, but the ability to sit back on our front porch and j use take a breath is very refreshing. Great thoughts, Na!
