An Adament 2 year old and a beautiful thing

Having a two year old can sometimes be very draining on my patience.  He is headstrong.  He is persistent.  He will rarely give in and only give up when sleep finally overcomes him.  And today was one of those days.  It started last night as I was drifting off to dream.  I told my husband, "tonight will be a bad sleep night for the boys."  As a mom, it's just one of those things I can tell even before they go to bed.  And so it was. Our bright eyed, curly haired two year old was up before 2 AM.  I saw much of the clock this morning between 2 and 4 AM.  So tonight when he adamantly requested to "ride in truck", I gave in.  We decided that even though bedtime was less than half an hour away, we'd go fill up the gas can for the lawn mower.  And I'm so glad I grabbed my iPhone before we headed out the door.  This is my beautiful thing this week.

I took these photos while riding shotgun on the way to the gas station.  Most were taken just with the phone camera.  A couple I took with the Hipstamatic Disposable app using the D-Fault camera.  Hope you enjoy!

And my sweet little man fell asleep in the back seat before we were even 2 miles down the road.  But boy am I glad he wanted to go!
